Ohio, Cincinnati, Mechanics and Traders Bank, $1, Dec 26 ?, (1838-44), bank building at center, Haxby lists this bank and higher denomination notes but no $1 notes are described, this $1 note is actually a certificate of deposit and was excluded from Haxby for that reason, it's definitely a rare Cincinnati bank but unfortunately this example has both ends trimmed off and the edges are partially reinforced with tape on back, poor.   $10.00   photo
